Pastors' Racial Profiling Lawsuit Moves Forward
The racial profiling lawsuit that Common Ground Pastors Demetrius Williams and John Patterson filed in Federal court in January of last year finally received a formal hearing on April 21, when more than 100 Common Ground members listening on their phones heard federal Judge Pamela Pepper rule that the lawsuit CAN MOVE FORWARD. It will not be dismissed. Attorneys for the Pastors have until June 12th to send the Judge an amended complaint.
Waukesha County had filed to dismiss the lawsuit. What a victory for the Pastors and those in Common Ground who have supported them since the incident back in spring of 2018!
