Milwaukee School Board Get Out the Vote

Election Day is April 6. We are focusing on District 4 which includes Sherman Park, Washington High School, Tabernacle Community Baptist Church, & Keefe Avenue School. This is an opportunity to continue to relate to many of the voters we met in our 2020 GOTV campaign.

These elections are typically low-information and low-turnout events. In the last three elections in School Board District 4, the total number of ballots cast ranged from 2,300 - 3,100. These races are often decided by less than 200 votes. This is a chance for us to apply our GOTV skills and show that we can impact the outcome of a School Board Election.

By helping more people cast informed votes, it’s a way to give community members, parents, and guardians more of a voice in K-12 education decisions. This is also a way for us to build Common Ground's power, especially with regard to education.
