MENTAL HEALTH AND ASCENSION ST. JOSEPH

In 2018 Ascension St. Joseph announced it would be reducing services. The community pushed back and now Ascension St. Joseph is engaging in community conversations about repurposing their underutilized space. Given our interest and work in Sherman Park and the importance of St. Joseph as a community anchor, we have initiated conversations with Ascension leadership. The need for mental health care in the Milwaukee area continues to rise. Access to quality, comprehensive, inclusive mental health care is a justice issue. We think Ascension St. Joseph has an opportunity to include quality mental health services as it reimagines it’s mission and its offerings.
