Common Ground leaders, concerned about water quality, formed a Watershed Team to study the problem.
Working with the Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District (MMSD) they worked to reduce sewage overflows into Lake Michigan.
The Solution
Water Drop Alert System
The system alerts Milwaukee residents by text message of the need to conserve water when the Deep Tunnel storage facility is in danger of overflowing and dumping sewage into Lake Michigan.
