We first became aware of the ridiculous and harmful levels of waste, fraud and abuse at HACM properties by listening to and working with HACM residents. Our first action was to help the residents organize.

In our fight against the Housing Authority of the City of Milwaukee, we worked closely with tenants to find and develop leaders, uncover issues and build a tenants union that can last beyond the HACM campaign.
Tenants must always have a place where they can listen, organize and lead and a group to maintain a balance of power with HACM.
