In 2019 CG leaders from St. Mark African Methodist Episcopal Church along with parents and staff from Keefe Avenue School successfully partnered to push MPS to start a healthy breakfast pilot program at Keefe Avenue School.
These were kids in 53206 zip code, and they were getting nothing but sugary, processed junk for breakfast. As soon as we organized, there was an immediate shift in focus, and we were able to get kids fed a healthy, nutritious breakfast.
