After two Common Ground leaders and African-American Pastors were racially profiled and harassed by Sheriff Deputies in Waukesha County in 2018, we attempted to negotiate reasonable reforms with the Waukesha County Sheriff.

The case could set an important legal precedent in the fight to end the culture of harassing Black and Brown people. The suit is currently held up in the federal court system.
Update: The lawsuit was dismissed and our attorneys have filed an appeal.
