When Common Ground and the Milwaukee Bucks say “Get Out the Vote” we really mean it. That’s why on Saturday October 24th, you could find us out and about with Milwaukee Bucks guard George Hill and Senior VP Alex Lasry for a very special on-foot GOTV campaign.

Dozens of Common Ground leaders accompanied George Hill, along with representatives for the Bucks, on a route that focused on neighborhoods surrounding two of our member organizations, St. Mark AME Church, Tabernacle Community Baptist Church and Community Baptist Church of Greater Milwaukee. Engaging with people and helping them get to the polls, our combined street team created quite a buzz in the neighborhood, as people came out of their homes to find out more – some even pulling over their cars to get in on the game.

As a result of our efforts, some without a solid voting plan now are committed to voting. Meeting Mr. Hill in person prompted multiple residents to drive to their polling place straightaway.
