Eligible students should apply ASAP!

Any Wisconsin high school students who are ready for driver education and qualify for free or reduced lunch should apply for a Driver Education Grant to pay for 100% of their classroom and behind-the-wheel training.

Starting August 25, 2025, students can apply at: https://wisconsindot.gov/Pages/dmv/teen-driver/teen-sfty/degrant.aspx.

The funds may go quickly, but will be replenished quarterly.

This program exists because of Common Ground. We identified the need for affordable driver education and worked to secure $6 million in annual funding in perpetuity.
